Excellent composition, lighting and leading lines are perfect!

Incredible feature on Fedorsky's tactile approach to landscape work. The insight about printing techniques like ziatype creating that haunted, almost temporal quality is spot-on becuase it shifts the conversation from capture to artifact. Most photographers dunno that the materiality of the print itself can carry as much emotive weight as compositon.

Awesome. I live and work in the Mojave Desert, and have hundreds of images covering the culture and varied landscapes of this region. The files sit on my drive for my pleasure. This post has inspired me to revisit them with the possibility of activating post-production tools to energize the expressions. The distressed tonality of the visual stories is very engaging.

I like the mood and subject matter she captures; her compositions are very good in respect of her use of lighting and guiding lines. Thanks for bringing to our attention.

British photo giant Martin Parr died at the age of 73. Quite a loss but a great portfolio.

Her name sounds too strange for a Russian ear, and her photos are too dark for a lady.
