I like Syd Shelton’s work because it feels raw, honest, and full of purpose. His black-and-white portraits from the Rock Against Racism era are bold and direct, with strong compositions and a real sense of presence. It’s a political documentary with a punk edge—and it still feels fresh.
Thank you, Steve White, for recommending his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
Good choice, though I wish he would print a little lighter, there is so much lost in the deep shadows.
Great work, congratulations
