There is something pleasantly calming about the photographs by Stephen Harper.
Quiet lines, muted tones, the life that has once been there and has now evaporated from these images…
Thank you, Jim Pojman, for recommending his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
Trying to work out how solid a sense of peace comes from these photos as the subjects are pretty basic - and I think it all seems to be about how colour (or lack of) texture, lines and light is captured. There is no drama? Light is even and shadows are logical. So its accomplished by the photographer's eye, skill and their feelings, that there is something beautiful in everything, no matter how banal that something is.
Will Stephen let us know when his Web Site is fully up and running?
