Richard Schulman moves easily between architecture, portraiture and the unexpected details of places he encounters.
His photographs are often precise and carefully structured, but they never feel cold—the people, light and small visual surprises keep breaking through the geometry.
I especially like the way he can make architecture feel less like an object and more like part of the life happening around it.
