PHOTOSNACK #800: Still So Much to Discover
PHOTOSNACK #800
This is already the 800th edition of PHOTOSNACK.
I’m opening this edition with Robert Frank’s Trolley—New Orleans because it reflects something I still feel after all these years of PHOTOSNACK: the pull of a photograph that makes you pause, look longer, and discover more each time you return to it. It felt like the right image for today — a reminder that this newsletter has always been, above all, about seeing.
It’s a number that honestly feels a little unreal to write. When I started this newsletter, I simply wanted to share photographers whose work moved me, surprised me, or made me stop and look a little longer. I did not think in terms of big milestones back then — just the next edition, the next discovery, the next recommendation worth sending.
And that is still the most beautiful part of PHOTOSNACK, even now at edition 800: the feeling has not changed.
I still get that same excitement when I come across work I want to share with you. I still love that moment when an image opens something up — a new way of seeing, a new visual language, a new reminder of what photography can do. After all these editions, I can honestly say the curiosity is still there, and so is the joy.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for being part of this ongoing rhythm of looking. Whether you have been with me for a long time or joined more recently, I truly appreciate your time and attention.
And now, onward. Edition 800 is a lovely milestone — but more than anything, it feels like a bridge. There is still so much to discover, so many photographers to share, and so much great work ahead.
Until next time,
Tomasz

I agree Tomasz. Very often your Photosnacks are eye-openers - a gaze into then worlds of people making excellent photographs I didn't know existed, so it's a valuable undertaking and wish you all the best to keep up the good work.
It is for us to thank you Tomasz, for all these photographers that you make us discover. If you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask.
