Nguan photographs cities in colors that almost seem too gentle for the loneliness inside them. His Singapore streets, strangers, housing blocks, and small everyday encounters are full of pale pinks, greens, and blues, yet beneath that beauty I often feel distance, waiting, and a slight sense of melancholy.
I like that his street photography doesn't depend on spectacular moments. It is more about the emotional temperature of ordinary city life.
