Martin Parr
PHOTOSNACK #749
Eleven days ago, on December 6, we lost one of the most acute observers photography has ever known.
Martin Parr turned the ordinary into a vivid, unsettling mirror, using color, irony, and precision to reveal how our habits, pleasures, and contradictions quietly define who we are. His photographs remain a lesson in seeing clearly and honestly — proof that the everyday, when truly looked at, contains everything.
Thank you, Martin, for teaching us how to really look.
With gratitude,
Tomasz

I took a few sessions with him during our photography course in Liverpool in the 1980's. Nice bloke who knew his stuff.... remember the sessions with fondness even now.
So sad to lose this legend so early
