Lois Conner
PHOTOSNACK #817
I really like the way Lois Conner uses the panoramic frame—it gives her work so much space to breathe, and she fills that space with this beautiful sense of rhythm, balance, and calm. Even when she photographs complex architecture or busy urban scenes, her pictures still feel very clear, patient, and deeply considered.
Thank you, Gary Alessi, for recommending her work.
Until next time,
Tomasz

Lois Conner is an excellent photographer. Her compositions and use of the panoramic format are captivating in how they lead the viewer into the picture, and the subject matter is always interesting. Callaway published a book of her China photos in panoramic format back in the year 2000. It was printed from Tritone separations by Meridian of Rhode Island, up to their usual high quality standard. Copies remain available on Abebooks.com.
