There is something wonderfully liberating about the photographs of Justine Kurland — her images of teenage girls, wandering communities, and open American landscapes seem to exist somewhere between real life and a world we secretly wish existed.
I like how she combines carefully constructed scenes with such a natural feeling of freedom.
