Allow me an obvious reminder today: Hiroshi Sugimoto, one of the most significant personas in the modern history of photography.
He has always been an artist exploring and pushing different kinds of boundaries of photographic craft.
Thank you, César Bernardo, for reminding me of his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
An extrordinary photographer (and architect). His experiments show a deep scientific curiosity combined with outstanding artistry. What impresses me most is his Opticks series, displaying light passing a prism. Impossible to reproduce by any other photographer. There is a book "Rothko | Sugimoto"; indeed they are on par.
One of the best!
