I really like the way Gregory Halpern photographs reality without making it feel entirely real. People, landscapes, animals, and strange little details appear side by side and gradually build a world that feels somewhere between documentary and dream.
His photographs are often beautiful, but there is nearly always something slightly uncomfortable hiding underneath that beauty.
