There is a wonderful directness in Geoff Story’s photography.
He photographs people with curiosity and empathy, but without sanding away their individuality—and that is what keeps the portraits alive for me. They feel carefully made, yet never overly controlled. There is always a person there before there is a “photograph.”
Thank you, Kirsten Oloughlin, for recommending his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
