Known as the enfant terrible of Dutch photography, Ed van der Elsken captured striking characters and vibrant moments in cities like Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam, as well as across Africa and Japan.
Over 40 years, his photography, photobooks, and films brought his encounters to life.
He passed away in 1990.
Thank you, Cees Roele, for recommending his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
