A recommendation by a connoisseur like Tomasz Trzebiatowski deserves serious consideration. Kind of like a Michelin star!

Please Tomasz, don't!

Do not make Frames a marketing tool for everybody who has something to sell. And in the case of Lovegrove, his cookie-cutter recipes do not mix with the artistic freedom and personal creativity for which Frames Magazine stand. Frames really misses the mark with these kind of endorsements.

Marcel, I appreciate your honesty. But this was not a random endorsement or “marketing for somebody who has something to sell.” I know Damien personally, I know the depth of his craft, his dedication to portraiture, and the value he brings as a teacher. His approach may not align with every photographer’s taste, but that does not make it cookie-cutter, nor does it place it outside the kind of meaningful photographic education I’m happy to occasionally recommend. FRAMES stands for artistic freedom, and that also includes giving space to different ways of working, learning, and teaching.
