There is, in this work, the feeling of a patient and deeply ethical witness; through Cinzia Canneri's photography, private suffering becomes part of a larger historical and human truth.

What moves me most is the way she never reduces people to symbols of pain, but allows dignity, silence, resilience, and complexity to remain present in the frame.
