Chris Friel’s photography sits somewhere between landscape, memory, and painting.
He uses movement, long and multiple exposures to let the world dissolve into colour, gesture and atmosphere—never losing the feeling that something real was there in front of the camera.
Knowing that he was a painter before turning to photography somehow makes perfect sense.
Thank you, Barry Rhodes, for recommending his work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
