Catherine DeLattre
PHOTOSNACK #882
There is something immediately human in Catherine DeLattre’s color work: the gentle compression of the street and her precise attention to clothing, posture, gesture, and background make ordinary people feel almost sculptural without losing their vulnerability.
I especially like the way her color never feels decorative only — it carries the whole photograph, turning shopfronts, interiors, daylight, fabric, and small domestic details into quiet records of time, place, and character.
Thank you, Stephen Smith, for recommending her work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
