Ariane James’s Nokia Flowers series turns smartphone snapshots into something magical. With just a Nokia phone, she captures blossoms in ways that feel intimate, vibrant, and unexpectedly poetic.
Make sure you explore her other portfolios as well.
Thank you, Ria Verschuren, for recommending her work.
Until next time,
Tomasz
I don't like her Nokia Flowers, but photos using the zoom-burst technique are the most interesting.
Nice work. Speaking of the infrared in particular..... I dabbled in this for a few years and got some nice results. I always converted to B&W, as that's my preference, and also because I never really liked what I saw in color infrared work -- too "fake" and "unnatural". Ariane does really nice work though producing "real" or "embellished real" color from infrared - best I've seen so far. Oh, and the B&W work is beautiful too. As I said at the start: Nice work!
